White Knuckle

I let my 
eyes unfocus 
and blur at 
the sides...  

As I 
numbly follow 
familiar white 
road lines. 

Soon my 
face flushes
and I tighten 
my grip... 

As I wonder 
what would 
happen if 
I let the 
steering wheel 
slip.
